Overview.

Madhuri Dixit sizzled her way into the hearts of the Indian movie fans thru the 'Ek, DO, Teen..' score in the movie Tezaab. Although she had made her debut a few years before she came into the limelight after this movie and after that there was no turning back! She rapidly ate away all competition and slowly but surely slid into the prestigious throne vacated by the ever-so-beautiful Madhubala.

With four Filmfare Awards and numerous small time awards under her belt the National Award that she won for the film 'Mrutyudand' was the Icing on the cake.. By and large Madhuri Dixit has proven herself to be the most successful actress in the Indian Film Industry. She has been the alltime favourite of people of all age groups and this can be proven by the fact that India's Internationally acclaimed painter M. F. Hussain has fallen head over heels for her..Painting special compositions for her even Producing and acting in a film with her!! No wonder Hussain is no longer known in Bombay as Maqbool Fida Hussain..his original name but as 'Madhuri Fame Hussain'!
